1. We are Fun
We embrace a relaxing, fun atmosphere in which we work. We believe in coming to work, to work hard, but to also have fun whilst doing it. We encourage a supportive atmosphere in work in which we help one another and share advice, but we maintain a #respect for one another and #respect for what we are all here to do.
We have a spacious office, with a fantastic facilities team who make sure we’re always in a clean environment, and we have all the essential things in order to do a great job. This includes radio, adaptable work stations, free tea and coffee, free continental breakfasts as well as fresh fruit all week long. We have a break out area with a TV and a games machine to take some time out at lunch, as well as an outdoor seating area for times when the sun makes an appearance!
An event that’s marked on everyone’s calendars is the EasiDrive Summer Party & Awards Event! We throw a huge party in July, in which we also hold our annual awards ceremony. Our engagement team make the party a night to remember with a unique theme, and all entertainment, food and drinks are paid for, as well as overnight accommodation!
We try our very best to keep an upbeat atmosphere around the workplace celebrating annual occasions of the year such as Valentine’s day, and also raising awareness of special charities and days, such as MacMillan Coffee Morning and Mental Health Awareness.
Everybody we employ has to have a #fun element about them as we want all of our people to get along and enjoy their working lives.
2. We are Award-Winning
Over the past few years we have won numerous awards, most notably for our ‘Customer Service’ initiatives and our ability to act on the feedback we receive from our customers and our company culture. We consistently strive to get better at what we do, in order to deliver a ‘world-class’ service to our customers and for our people to feel confident in delivering that service.
Not only do we win awards for our commitment to delivering world-class service, but we win awards left, right and centre for our employee training! Awards of note are our gold award at the UK Business Awards for ‘Business Change or Transformation’, and our silver award for ‘Customer Experience Training’ at the CX Awards.
We have also won ‘Business of the Year’ at the MEN Awards; a feat we are extremely proud of as we are a Manchester born business, and continually try to improve the local community through our fundraising efforts and ‘giving back’ programme.
Last but not least we have made The Sunday Times Top 100 Best Companies to work for in 2019 and 2020 – the proof is in the pudding!
3. We are Passionate
As we have already mentioned, (twice so far infact!) we love to give back to the community. We have given to over fifty different causes since we began our charitable causes. We even took part in Manchester’s ‘City of Trees’ initiative, a project that aims to plant three million trees. We nominate a new charity every three months via our ‘People Made’ group. Our ‘People Made’ is a monthly get together headed by our CEO, Steve Turner and joined by employees from different areas of the business. The point of the committee is to share thoughts, feelings and ideas about ways in which we can improve our business and each other’s working lives. Recently, we have enhanced our maternity and paternity packages, and introduced a healthcare scheme into the business by way of ‘People Made’ and being #Passionate about getting it right for our people.
4. We are based in Manchester
Everybody’s heard of Coronation Street, Manchester United, and Manchester City? If not, then surely you’ve heard that Manchester is the second biggest city in England!
Our offices are located in Wythenshawe, which is a suburb of Manchester. We are located just off the M56 and M60 and the area offers great transport links from Manchester City Centre, the North West and Midlands. We have a mixture of people working for us, with people travelling from as far as Preston, Liverpool and various areas of Cheshire. It makes the football banter very interesting!
5. We are Innovative
We are always looking for ways we can do things even better for our business partners, their customers and ourselves, thus striving to provide an outstanding service experience for our customers and a great environment to work in. Not only that, but we welcome this innovation from our employees the most as they are our experts! As we grow we like to recruit fresh minds to ensure we continue to bring new ideas to the table.
6. We have a great benefits package
Our benefits package is a fantastic reason in itself to join us! We offer 25 days holiday per year plus bank holidays with the option to buy/sell days, enhanced maternity and paternity pay, a savings scheme, private healthcare, employee referral scheme, company car scheme, free optional uniform, cycle to work scheme and flexible working opportunities. These are just the professional benefits too, we have lots of other perks which we cover further down.
7. We are Respectful
Having respect is fundamental to our culture, we have respect for our customers, our business partners, each other and our surroundings. Our managers undergo equality and diversity training which acts as a foundation for the rest of our teams, and supports how we want everybody to interact with one another.
8. We have football tickets and beauty treatments
As part of our long list of employee perks, we offer Manchester United, Manchester City and Stockport County football tickets for free. You will join a list for the tickets, and will be allocated a match so that you can get excited for when your time comes. You don’t just get one ticket, you get two, so you can take a friend or family member along with you. If football isn’t your thing, then you also have the option to join our beauty treatments list for Shine.
Shine is a professional and friendly hair and beauty salon, which provide our employees with a relaxing half hour treatment of their choice. EasiDrive will pay for your beauty bill!
9. We uphold high levels of Integrity
It is a personal quality of fairness and one that everybody at EasiDrive has. Our people do the right thing, in a consistent way. Knowing that everybody here has integrity allows us to be confident that our business partners and their customers are being treated in an honest and fair way.
Every one of our customer facing team follows a set of ‘Principles and Standards’. These encompass every aspect of how we should interact with a customer, and handle the claim. The Principles highlight ‘what’ we must do with every customer, and ‘how’ we will do it. All of our teams are taken through this training to make sure we’re making a collaborative effort in getting it right for the customer.
10. We are growing
In 2001, we began as a small business with three people and four cars in our fleet. We achieved a turnover of £80K that year. 19 years later and we have a fleet of 2,500 cars, employ approx. 400 people, have five depots located across the UK and help thousands of drivers after an accident every year. As we have already mentioned, we achieved ‘Business of the Year’ at the MEN Business Awards in 2019. Surely you want to be part of a team that achieves great things?
11. We are One Team
Our icing on the cake, and our motto. We can be found saying #OneTeam after most things that we do. Somebody gets their own brew, “Heyyy, what happened to #OneTeam!”, all said in jest of course! But then there is the real #OneTeam ethos that we possess that goes through everything we do. There are so many different roles at EasiDrive but every one of us pulls together to deliver the best possible service we can to help drivers after an accident.
If these eleven reasons aren’t enough to convince you to apply for an EasiDrive vacancy then we don’t know what will. Talk to us today via social media, or email us your CV careers@edamgroup.co.uk
