Wellbeing Month 2018
At EDAM Group we promote and support our employees’ wellbeing as they are at the heart of our purpose; people made, service driven. We believe that investing in our employees’ wellbeing will champion better work and create an effective workplace. We want our employees to not just think about work as a way of financial gain, but one that also improves their quality of life. We want our people to come into work, and enjoy working here.
To help achieve this, throughout September we will be running a Wellbeing Month for our employees to help achieve a positive impact on their health and wellbeing and to encourage a balanced lifestyle. We will break the month up into three separate weeks focusing first on Wealth, then Health and finally, Wellbeing.
During our wealth week we will be offering our employees financial advice on various topics such as mortgages, pensions and savings. We have organised professionals to come in and speak to our employees in the form of seminars, and private appointments for any 1 on 1 advice they may need. HSBC will be coming in to hold a ‘Making the most out of your money’ seminar and a ‘Home Buyers’ seminar. An opportunity for a financial health-check in a one on one environment will also be offered to our employees.
Our second week will focus on health and so we have arranged a variety of activities that will promote a healthier lifestyle. The Lean Body Project team, who are based locally in Stockport, will be coming in to give our employees seminars surrounding healthy eating and a healthy lifestyle. We will also have a smoothie bike stationed at the office which our employees will peddle on to mix up their healthy ingredients in their smoothie before drinking it. We will finish this week off with a healthy BBQ for all employees.
We end our Wellbeing Month focusing on our employees overall general wellbeing, so the team will enjoy facials, and a chance to unwind with meditation sessions.
